A herd of cows and no bull

North to the park entrance. Left at the gate, along the boundary road west, then back south. Not a spoor worth following all morning — just plains game crossing our path. After lunch, a sun-pump pan to the east. We glass from the cruiser roof — twenty-plus cows and calves. No bull.

North along the dirt road to the Khaudum park entrance to look for big bull spoors. A left at the gate onto the boundary road, west, and around south. Nothing decent. Plains game only.

After lunch we drove east to check a sun-pump pan. An elephant, a good way out. We stopped and got up on the roof. More than twenty cows and calves. No bull. We watched them drink for a while and turned for camp.
